My Journey In IT

Hello and a warm welcome. My name is Maher Muhtadi, and I’ve been immersed in the world of technology for over 25 years. In my career I held several position in IT, since the 1990’s. Technical support engineer, technical manager, CIO, and CTO. In many of these roles I had to support my colleagues on how to get things done, and how to get the technology working.

Often times I’ve found technology to be daunting, frustrating, and not doing what I want from it! Sound familiar? One of my first experiences with this had been trying to print out a project report, with headers, using what must have been Word 1.0 at the time, on Windows 3.0. Everything looks nice and dandy, until print time, and my portable Brother printer would spit out the report, with no headers! Must have been a bug!

But when it does work, and this should be the norm, I found it to be very refreshing, rewarding, and inspiring! Hence, the name, Inspiring Technologies. Beautiful experiences with technology are numerous. Like the first time I used Finite Element Analysis on my college’s HP Unix workstations to get some really interesting results. Or most recently, discovering and utilizing Chat GPT for various purposes. Technology rocks, doesn’t it?

Now, my mission is to extend this assistance to a wider audience by sharing my knowledge through this website. I genuinely hope you find the information here valuable. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments.
